Press Release Better Business Bureau Honors Local Businesses with Awards for Excellence Houston, TX, May 4, 2011 —The 19th Better Business Bureau Awards for Excellence Luncheon recognizing local companies and non-profits for overall excellence in the workplace, was held at a the InterContinental Houston Near the Galleria on Wednesday, May 4th, before a record crowd of 800 attendees. Of the 232 award recipients, 30 received the Pinnacle Award, the highest achievement in their respective industries. The Awards for Excellence recognize local businesses and non-profits that have excelled in quality, management and service. All entries are judged by a panel of Silver Fox Advisors, a group of former business owners, entrepreneurs and CEOs dedicated to assisting business owners to improve their enterprises through mentoring and consulting. Funds raised by the luncheon directly benefit the BBB Education Foundation which educates consumers about scams and fraudulent business practices throughout the Greater Houston area.
